GloriaFood Shutdown Date: 31 March or 30 April 2027? The Dates, Explained

Chart: Aexir, from the figures in this article
GloriaFood closes on 30 April 2027. That is the end of life date on GloriaFood’s own homepage and in Oracle’s GloriaFood end of life FAQ, which applies it to every product, the free plan included. Oracle’s food and beverage page gives 31 March 2027 instead, and we found nothing from Oracle that explains the difference. Paid add-ons can stop before 30 April: each one ends when its final renewal runs out, between 1 and 30 April 2027.
Short answer: plan to be fully moved off GloriaFood by 31 March 2027. That date works under both of Oracle’s dates, comes before the 1 to 30 April window in which Oracle says paid add-ons end, and leaves April as a safety margin, since the FAQ keeps GloriaFood running to 30 April. Anything you have not exported by the end depends on a 30-day data retrieval window that Oracle’s FAQ mentions but does not explain.
The two dates, and where each one comes from
Both dates come from Oracle, which completed its acquisition of GloriaFood on 25 June 2021, according to GloriaFood’s About page. The service update on the GloriaFood homepage reads “GloriaFood will reach end of life on April 30, 2027”. It adds that existing customers are supported until then, that Oracle offers no direct replacement, and it names FoodAmigos as a third-party option.
Oracle’s GloriaFood end of life FAQ (Version 1.0, dated March 2026) uses the same date. It defines 30 April 2027 as the EOL Date and lists it against every product family: online ordering on the free and paid tiers, the point of sale with its hardware, and Oracle Payment. It is also the document that sets out the renewal rules and what happens to your data.
The odd one out is Oracle’s food and beverage product page. Its GloriaFood panel says the products are being discontinued, puts full end of service at 31 March 2027 and says new signups have stopped. The UK, Australia and New Zealand, Canada and Middle East editions carry the same wording, so a UK owner checking oracle.com/uk sees 31 March too. The panel’s link for more details goes to gloriafood.com, which says 30 April. We found no explanation from Oracle for the gap, and we will not guess at a reason.

Oracle’s food and beverage pages give 31 March 2027; the notice on GloriaFood itself and Oracle’s detailed FAQ give 30 April 2027.
Which date should you plan around?
For what your account actually does, the FAQ is the document to trust: it defines the end date, applies it product by product and explains renewals. Read on its own terms, 30 April 2027 is the last day of GloriaFood.
For planning, aim for 31 March 2027. If the product page turns out to be right, you are covered. If the FAQ is right, you get a spare month in which GloriaFood still takes orders while your new system is already live. There is a second reason to aim early: if you pay for anything on GloriaFood, that service will probably stop before 30 April, because of how the final renewal works.
How the final renewal works for paid add-ons
GloriaFood’s pricing page lists paid extras on top of the free plan, all in US dollars before tax: the Online / Credit Card Payment Service at $29 a month, Advanced Promo Marketing at $19 a month, and the Restaurant POS System at $49 a month per location on a two-year commitment (gloriafood.com/pricing, checked 28 October 2026). Oracle’s FAQ sets these rules for paid services during the wind-down:
- Paid services keep their normal billing cycle. Oracle gives 30-day terms for online ordering services as the example.
- Auto-renewal carries on during the wind-down, but Oracle accepts renewals and new orders only up to one month before the end date. By our reading, that is 30 March 2027.
- Each paid service ends when its final renewal expires, which Oracle puts between 1 and 30 April 2027. It does not renew again, even if that expiry falls before 30 April.
- No extension beyond 30 April 2027 is possible.
- Five products can no longer be added at all: Sales Optimized Website and Hosting, Branded Mobile App, Branded Partner Website and Hosting, the Point of Sale eStore Cloud Service with its Hardware Starter Package, and the Oracle Payment eStore Cloud Service. Other paid extras can still be added until one month before the end date.
- The free online ordering tier stays available up to the end date itself.
- If you cancel a paid online ordering service yourself in the admin panel, Oracle says you keep it until your next renewal date. Point of sale and Oracle Payment cancellations go through the support chat.
- Oracle Simphony and OPERA keep running under their own contracts, but their GloriaFood ordering integration stops after 30 April 2027.
Oracle’s own worked example: a third-party online payments add-on on a 30-day term, renewed on 3 March 2027, runs to 3 April 2027 and ends there, almost four weeks before the end of life date. By our reading, a restaurant on the free plan with that add-on would still be taking orders in April, but without the online payment service it had been paying for.
The 30-day data window
Oracle’s FAQ says that once your GloriaFood services expire, end or are cancelled, you can retrieve your data for 30 days. It does not say which data, in what format or by what route, beyond pointing data requests to the support chat in your restaurant account. By our arithmetic, an add-on that ends on 3 April would leave you until about 3 May 2027, and the free plan ending on 30 April would leave you until about 30 May 2027.
Treat the window as a backstop, not a plan. GloriaFood’s reporting module has client lists that export your customers’ contact and order details, and since November 2023 the Reports tab exports table data, such as promotion stats, as CSV or XLS (gloriafood.com/press/new-product-release-reporting-module and gloriafood.com/gloriafood-updates-november-2023). For the menu, GloriaFood’s integration documents describe a Fetch Menu API that uses a key from the third-party integrations section of the admin panel (github.com/GlobalFood/integration_docs). Download what you can while your account is fully working. The checklist for leaving GloriaFood covers the menu, photos and customer list step by step.
Month by month: free plan or monthly renewals
The calendar below starts now and assumes you aim to be live elsewhere by 31 March 2027. The right-hand column is for restaurants paying for any add-on on a monthly cycle, such as the card payment service or promo marketing. Check the renewal date of each paid service in your GloriaFood account, because that date, not 30 April, decides when it stops.
| Month | On the free plan only | Paying monthly for add-ons |
|---|---|---|
| November 2026 | Export your client list and reports. Copy the menu, photos, delivery zones and opening hours. Shortlist replacements. | The same exports. List every paid service with its renewal date, and mark the ones you cannot trade without, such as card payments. |
| December 2026 | Choose a replacement and send it your menu. If December is a busy month for you, set up now and go live in January. | The same. Decide, add-on by add-on, whether to keep renewing or cancel; a cancelled online ordering service runs to its next renewal date. |
| January 2027 | Run the new system alongside GloriaFood. Place real test orders, including a refund. | The same. Test card payments on the new system before you stop paying for them on GloriaFood. |
| February 2027 | Repoint your website button, domain, QR codes, Google profile and social links. Tell regulars where to order now. | The same. Your new system should already take card payments, because your GloriaFood payment add-on may have only weeks left. |
| March 2027 | Target: fully live elsewhere by 31 March. Take a final export. | Your final renewal will most likely fall this month (renewals accepted up to 30 March, by our reading). Take a final export before anything lapses. |
| April 2027 | GloriaFood keeps running to 30 April 2027. Use it only as a fallback. | Paid add-ons stop as final renewals expire, between 1 and 30 April. The free ordering tier, if you also use it, runs to 30 April. |
| May 2027 | About 30 days after 30 April to retrieve data through the support chat. Do not count on it. | About 30 days after each service ends. Do not count on it. |
Worked example: our suggested plan, not Oracle’s. Dates from Oracle’s GloriaFood EOL FAQ (Version 1.0, March 2026) and oracle.com/food-beverage, checked 28 October 2026; the 30 March cut-off is our reading.
The dates are the same in every country
Oracle’s FAQ gives one end date for every GloriaFood product, with no variation by country, and GloriaFood’s About page says it serves restaurants in more than 150 countries. So the calendar applies in Leeds, Lyon or Los Angeles alike; what varies is the replacement’s currency, tax, card payments and delivery options.

Common questions answered.
On 30 April 2027, according to the notice on gloriafood.com and Oracle’s GloriaFood end of life FAQ, which applies that date to every GloriaFood product, the free plan included. Oracle’s food and beverage page says 31 March 2027, so the safe plan is to be fully moved by 31 March.
We found no explanation from Oracle. The food and beverage page, its UK edition included, gives 31 March 2027 as the full end of service, but its own link for details goes to gloriafood.com, which says 30 April 2027, and Oracle’s detailed FAQ also says 30 April. Planning for 31 March covers both.
Not necessarily. Each paid service ends when its final renewal expires, between 1 and 30 April 2027. In Oracle’s example, a payments add-on on a 30-day term renewed on 3 March 2027 ends on 3 April 2027.
No. Oracle accepts renewals and new orders only up to one month before the 30 April 2027 end date, which by our reading means 30 March 2027, and no extension beyond 30 April is possible.
Yes. Oracle’s FAQ says the free online ordering tier stays available up to the end of life date, 30 April 2027.
Oracle’s FAQ says you can retrieve your data for 30 days after your services expire, end or are cancelled, with requests through the support chat. It does not say which data or in what format, so export your client list, reports and menu before then.
No. Oracle’s FAQ gives one end of life date, 30 April 2027, for every GloriaFood product and does not vary it by country.
