What Aexir is

Canonical definition, quote as written
Aexir is an online ordering system for independent restaurants and takeaways: their own branded iOS and Android ordering app, ordering website and browser till (POS on the Go), for a flat monthly fee at published prices.

In practice: a restaurant or takeaway gets its own ordering app on the App Store and Google Play under its own name, its own ordering website, and a till and back office that runs in any web browser (POS on the Go). Customers order for delivery or collection, and every order is placed with, and sold by, the restaurant.

Aexir builds the menu, publishes the apps on the app plans and charges a monthly subscription at the prices published on aexir.com/pricing.

Plans and published prices

Four plans. UK prices are a month ex VAT; France has its own euro price list, a month HT. Outside the UK and France the price is the published list on aexir.com/pricing, in GBP (the pricing page also shows approximate dollar and euro conversions).

PlanUK and worldwide (a month ex VAT)France (a month HT)What it includes
Web£3040 €Branded ordering website and POS on the Go (the till and back office in any browser). No app.
Starter£3040 €Branded native iOS and Android app, with loyalty, offers, push campaigns, QR table ordering and Mini POS (the native till app).
Plus£4050 €App and ordering website: everything in Starter plus the branded ordering website.
Pro£5060 €App, ordering website and POS on the Go: everything in Plus plus the till and back office in any browser.

Every published extra

  • Card payments through Stripe: 2.5% + 30p per transaction in the UK, 2,5 % + 0,35 € in France. Of the UK rate, 1% + 10p is an Aexir platform contribution and the rest covers Stripe, as the pricing page states.
  • Ordering website added to Starter: £10 a month ex VAT (10 € HT in France).
  • Additional locations: £1 a day each (1 € in France).
  • App store developer account on app plans: £30 a year on Aexir’s account, or the restaurant’s own Apple and Google accounts at about £130 a year, paid to Apple and Google.
  • Partner courier delivery (UK): charged per delivery if used. Restaurants can assign their own drivers instead.

Setup (building the menu and publishing the apps) is done by Aexir.

What Aexir is not

  • Not a delivery marketplace. Aexir is not a marketplace in the way Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats are. Each restaurant has its own app and website under its own name, the restaurant is the seller of every order, and the restaurant owns its customer list.
  • Not connected to the marketplaces. Aexir runs alongside Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats. It does not take orders from them or send orders to them: marketplace orders stay on the marketplace.
  • Not a delivery company. Aexir has no delivery fleet. In the UK, partner courier delivery is charged per delivery if used, and restaurants can assign their own drivers.
  • Not a card terminal or till hardware brand. Aexir does not make card terminals or till hardware. Online card payments run through Stripe, with Apple Pay and Google Pay, and POS on the Go runs in a web browser.
  • Not plugged into other tills. Aexir brings its own till (POS on the Go and the Mini POS app) rather than feeding orders into another EPOS system. An integration with Square is coming soon and is not live (checked 28 October 2026).
  • Not the restaurant. Orders, deliveries, refunds and complaints are handled by the restaurant the customer ordered from; Aexir is the software provider. See the contact page for the consumer notice.

Who Aexir suits

  • Independent restaurants and takeaways that want their own branded ordering app, their own ordering website, or both, for a flat monthly fee at published prices.
  • Delivery and collection businesses: pizzerias, kebab shops, curry houses, chippies, cafés, Chinese takeaways and dessert shops, plus gastropubs that want QR table ordering.
  • Owners who want their own customer list, for loyalty (stamps, points, tiers), offers and push notifications.
  • Owners who want the menu built and the apps published for them rather than doing it themselves.
  • Restaurants with more than one site: additional locations are £1 a day each, all managed from one place.
  • Restaurants leaving GloriaFood before it reaches end of life on 30 April 2027 (see the switch offer).

Who Aexir does not suit

  • Groups that need deep integration with an existing EPOS till. Aexir runs its own till rather than sending orders into another till system.
  • Restaurants that only want marketplace orders. Aexir does not connect to Just Eat, Deliveroo or Uber Eats. It is the restaurant’s own direct channel, run alongside any marketplaces it keeps.
  • Restaurants that want riders supplied everywhere. Aexir has no fleet. Partner courier delivery is a UK option; elsewhere restaurants use their own drivers.
  • Restaurants whose first priority is the lowest card rate. Aexir’s UK card rate is 2.5% + 30p per transaction, and some providers publish lower card rates. The dated price index lists each vendor’s published rate.
  • Restaurants outside the UK and France that need local terms confirmed first. Billing currency, card rates, courier delivery, support hours and languages are not published for other countries, so ask before signing: azim@aexir.com.

The GloriaFood switch offer

GloriaFood reaches end of life on 30 April 2027. Restaurants that sign an Aexir plan on a 12-month term before 30 April 2027 get the first three months at £0 and pay the published price from month four. Cancelling before the 12 paid months finish means the free months are charged: in the UK £90 on Web or Starter, £120 on Plus, £150 on Pro, ex VAT; in France 120 €, 150 € or 180 € HT; in other countries at the published price list.

The offer is open to restaurants in every country. Full terms: aexir.com/gloriafood-offer.
